Staff Selection Commission has revised the exam pattern of ‘ SSC MTS ‘ ; According to the new exam pattern, there will be no interview/personality test in the recruitment process . Let us take a look on the new exam pattern ( Selection Procedure ) for MTS Exam 2013 :-
First of all, let’s know how you will be selected as a MTS through this exam :-
The selection process consist of only one written examination; The written examination consist of two papers .
This question paper will be purely objective type i.e. there will be four multiple answers of the question and you have to select the right one . There are four parts in the paper 1 :-
|Subject||Number of Questions||Number of Marks|
- 10.00 AM to 12.00 PM(NOON)
- 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM
Facts You Must Know About the Paper 1 Exam
- The question paper will be available in both languages Hindi and English except the ‘ English ‘ portion .
- Only those candidates who qualify the Paper 1 exam, will be forwarded to the Paper 2 exam .
- However, there is no qualify standard in each part of the paper 1 but SSC has the right to do this .
Newly added descriptive type exam will be conducted for the candidates who qualify the Paper 1 exam ( as per commission’s standards ) . In this paper, you have to write an essay or letter in two languages; English & Hindi .
English is must but instead of Hindi you may choose other regional languages too .
You will be given 30 minutes to attain maximum 50 marks in this paper .
This exam ( Paper 2 ) is only of qualify nature i.e. You have to just attain the qualifying marks ( Decided by SSC ) and the merit list will be prepared according to your marks in the ‘ Paper 1 Exam ‘ .
The basic of Selection Process
It’s the first objective type exam ( Paper 1 ), the merit list will be prepared according to your marks in the first paper; The second one is just to check your communication skills in different language and you have to just attain the qualifying marks in this .
No Typing Test is there
There is a big myth about this exam that there is a typing test after the written examination for this post . But actually its not there . There are only two stages in the selection process , already given above .
My first advice for the candidates who are giving this exam would be that they should buy a specific book for this exam which cover the whole syllabus mandatory for this examination . The topics/part that you must look for each subject :-
The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.
- Similarities and differences
- Space visualization
- Problem solving
- Decision making
- Visual memory
- Discriminating observation
- Relationship concepts
- Figure classification
- Arithmetical number series
- Non-verbal series etc.
Take look on all the mathematical topics which come under class 10th . This is enough for this exam . Take a look :-
- Number Systems
- Computation of Whole Numbers
- Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers
- Fundamental arithmetical operations
- Ratio and Proportion
